Any chance you could post pictures of the Toshiba with a modern gaming laptop or off the shelf modern Toshiba laptop? Thickness may not be that different. So, here are a few photos comparing the Toshiba T1000 (1987) with a Dell Inspiron R15 (2011) notebook PC. Looks like a thickness difference to me 🙂

U.S. Defense Department standardized on an ancient version of Android
Muktware.com believes that the U.S. DoD’s choice to standardize on Android is a setback for iOS. But, it is really a setback for Android too.
Android Approved By Pentagon For DoD Usage, Major Setback For iPhone
Heres why. The DoD chose to standardize on some unidentified Dell device running Android OS 2.2 (Froyo). Froyo was released on May 20, 2010 and superseded by Android OS 2.3 (Gingerbread) on Dec. 6, 2010. New smartphones based on Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) are currently emerging from the pipeline. So, the DoD standardized on a version of Android several generations old.
