LiveFire FPS multiplayer test demo from iPhone SDK3 event from ngmoco:) on Vimeo.
ngmoco produces games with great graphics for the iPhone. Their upcoming LiveFire demo (see above) looks great.
Note, this is an actual video of an iPhone or iPod touch. The thumbs in the video are real 🙂
I thought LifeHacker’s article…
Android Versus iPhone 3.0: The Showdown
…would be just another item with providing a generic comparison of a few features. But, nope, anyone interested in a feature-by-feature comparison of the current iPhone 2.0 firmware features with the current Google Android features and the upcoming iPhone 3.0 features should take a look at the color coded matrix in the article where light-red/pink indicates missing features, a pale green indicates feature presence and a pale yellow includes availability with provisions. According to this scorecard the current iPhone 2.0 units are missing a lot of features, Android has over half of the features with a lot of provisions, and iPhone 3.0 is nearly all green. Nice matrix. Run over there to read it, then come back here 🙂
The Boy Genius Report tells us…
AT&T bringin’ sexy back, offering iPhone 3G at no-commitment price, no activation
According BGR, starting on March 26 you can buy a 8GB iPhone 3G for $599 or a 16GB iPhone 3G for $699 with no contract requirements. You probably still have to activate the phone with AT&T Wireless though.
MacRumors reports…
USB Tethering Seems to be Working in iPhone 3.0
MacRumors notes that the test connected a developer’s iPhone running version 3.0 who connected it to a Mac with a USB cable. This person actually tested the tether (accessed the net using the iPhone’s 3G connection). Interesting stuff.
I just learned about this fact after reading a comment on my MobileAppsToday blog.
I just hit 9 screens. What’s strange is that it will still let you install apps, they just don’t show up! I thought I was insane because I knew I had just installed something but could not find it. Off to delete more!
