    Having the exact same problem. Very frustrating to get the latest device and Apple cannot test their products before letting the public suffer through frustrating problems! Not a satisfied customer!!

    I took my cable to a nearby Apple Store where they duplicated the issue and replaced my cable.

    Same thing just happened to me! These cables has micro chips in them and probably are being fried somehow. Not cool.
