I’m going to try to find and mention at least one freeware or Open Source application each week. No shareware, trialware, etc. Just no strings attached stuff (maybe an online registration required now and then). Here’s the first one for 2007…
This Open Source audio player for the Windows Mobile Pocket PC can play a number of formats including MP3 (of course), Ogg Vorbis, and SHOUTcast streaming. It also has a 10-band equalizer for MP3 playback and a sleep timer among other features.

GSPlayer is awesome! I use it on my Axim X50v WM6 A03 and it works great. I love the program’s ability to crank up the bass with it’s Bass Boost and then EQ, then turn it up some more using X50Mix…makes my PDA better than any iPod or other MP3 player.
hi, I have gsplayer installed in my ppc6800 (mogul). The software is very good. However, i’ve been trying to find out if Gsplayer will come up with a php format codec. There are some radio stations from my country, Peru, that have the php format….neither my gsplayer software nor wmp10 are able to play them. In case, Gsplayer does not/will not have such codec, where will I be able to download a freeware that plays this type of format. Would appreciateted your input. Fernando
ps: In case u want to go the the website for live radio, it is http://www.rpp.com.pe (go to live radio=radio en vivo)
